The regular meeting of the Daggett Board of Education was held at Red Canyon Lodge on December 12, 2007. President Asbill called meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. Also attending were members Steen, Barber, Olsen and Pallesen; Superintendent Northcott; Business Administrator Robinson.

Mr. Olsen moved to approve the Consent Calendar seconded by Mrs. Barber, motion carried. The Consent Calendar included minutes of November 14, 2007 Board Meeting and the Warrant List and Financial Statement.

Mrs. Steen moved to ratify the 07-08 CUSAP, seconded by Mr. Olsen, motion carried.

Mrs. Barber reported that at the last UBATC meeting they discussed the buildings trades program in Daggett. With the new regulations regarding inmate work release it might not be feasible for this program to continue. The project director has resigned because there have not been any inmates to do the work.

Superintendent’s activity report was reviewed.

Superintendent Northcott noted the following Great Things Happening.

1. JHBBB has ended their season: 7^th graders were 6-5 and the 8^th graders were 9-2.

2. MES artist in residence and the drum performance.

3. BBB won the Lynx Tournament. Jordan Catron was MVP and Justin Olsen and Nathan Beck were selected to the All-Tourney team.

4. GBB placed 2^nd at the Lynx Tournament. Kali Hughes was MVP and Shanna Northcott was selected to the All-Tourney team.

5. FBLA attended their Fall Conference in Provo.

Mr. Olsen moved to adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Pallesen, motion carried.
